From Band Mom to Dream Home Matchmaker: My Journey into Real Estate

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be juggling house showings, closings, and negotiations in between Friday night football games and band competitions, I probably would’ve laughed. But here I am—living out a calling I never saw coming but now can’t imagine letting go of.

My journey into real estate didn’t start with a business plan. It started in the stands, cheering on my boys and handing out Gatorades to a sea of kids in marching uniforms. I was a full-time band mom—loading gear, planning snacks, and being a cheerleader not just for my son, but for every single kid in that band. That sense of community? That deep love for supporting others? Turns out, it prepared me perfectly for real estate.

When my boys started growing up and becoming more independent, I felt that familiar tug we all get when a season is shifting. I had poured so much of myself into my family, and I wouldn’t trade a second of it. But I knew it was time to rediscover me. During COVID, I studied for my real estate license at the kitchen table, fueled by faith, determination, and a whole lot of coffee. And when I landed with Century 21 Home Team, I knew I had found more than a career—I had found my place.

Being a band mom taught me patience, how to manage chaos with a smile, and how to care deeply about people who aren’t just your own. Those skills? They’re the heart of what I do every day as a REALTOR®. I help families navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives. I listen, I encourage, I advocate. Just like I did on the sidelines.

Real estate isn’t just about keys and contracts—it’s about home. And home is where your people are. Whether you’re upsizing, downsizing, relocating, or finding that very first place to call your own, I’m here to walk with you every step of the way—just like I walked alongside my kids (and a hundred others) through those high school years.

To anyone else standing on the edge of a new season, wondering if it’s too late or too hard to try something new: it’s not. You’ve got more strength and more stories in you than you know. And if you ever need someone to help you find where your next chapter begins—I’d be honored to be that person.

Let’s find your dream home, together.
